Travis Johnston heads for the US

Just wanted to run my plans with you for 2012. I will be leaving next week for the USA where I will be spending time there training and racing until September. I will be flying back for Duathlon SA champs in June and then will head back to the states. I will be based in Boulder Colorado while I am there and very excited to head across. My goals for the year are to defend my SA Duathlon title in June, qualify for the 5150 Hy-vee final in Sept and then compete at the world duathlon Champs in France also later this year.

Being based in America is a huge opportunity and is really going to take me to the next level in the sport. I don’t just want to be a great athlete, I want to be the best. So I will be training with some of the worlds best athletes in the states and I hope to really gain the necessary experience I need and be able to compete at an international standard.

Im really happy with the Pure Nutrtion products so will definitely be loading up before I go so that I can keep giving my body the best of the best while training and racing.

While I am there I will have a bit more time sit down and write weekly updates from races so will keep you posted on how everything is going.
